Troy Polamalu.. He's not so tuff..

Steelers fans and those who might just appreciate a Good story...Bslow

There is a 10 Year old little girl - Heather - she has Ewing's Sarcoma. She had
Surgery on Monday to remove part of her lung.

She is recovering now but Troy Polamalu has been an angel in her life.
She has been in and out of the hospital and when Troy can be there, he goes to see her.
They play Guitar Hero and when he's not there, he texts her.

Before Monday's surgery, Heather got a surprise from him, he sent
Her his jersey - signed - that he wore in the game against the Ravens.

This is a very special guy, taking time out of his busy
Schedule to bring sunshine into this little girls life.

But Hey.. We're from the 'Burg.. That's just what we do....

Pennsylvania county changes name for Super Bowl

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (UPI) -- Officials in Pennsylvania's Greene County said they plan to temporarily drop the name "Greene" to show support for the Super Bowl-bound Pittsburgh Steelers.

Pam Snyder, chairwoman of the Greene County Commission, said a resolution will be introduced Wednesday night to temporarily change the county's name in advance of Sunday's Super Bowl game against the Green Bay Packers, WTAE-TV, Pittsburgh, reported.

"Instead of Greene County, we're going to be Black and Gold County, so there is no chance that any Green Bay Packer fan will think that Greene County is cheering for their side, because we're not," Snyder said.

Officials said the county also will hold a rally Friday at the county courthouse to support the Steelers and raise money for the Humane Society of Greene County

Special DNA ink marks Super Bowl footballs

DALLAS (UPI) -- Footballs used in the Super Bowl game in Arlington, Texas, will be marked with invisible synthetic DNA ink to protect against counterfeiting, officials say.

More than 100 footballs will be "tagged," along with sideline pylons and even the coin used in the opening coin flip, a release from PSA/DNA Authentication Services said.

The sports memorabilia authentication company says it will mark each ball with a DNA strand only visible when illuminated by a particular laser frequency.

"The DNA ink has an astronomical 1-in-33 trillion chance of being accurately reproduced by counterfeiters," PSA/DNA President Joe Orlando said.

"Many of the game-used Super Bowl footballs are sold by the NFL through charity auctions," he said. "The PSA/DNA certification combats potential counterfeiting and helps assure future owners that each ball is genuine."

About 120 footballs are expected to be utilized in Sunday's game between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Illegal to FART?????

LILONGWE, Malawi (UPI) -- Malawian President Bingu wa Mutharika's administration is proposing laws to criminalize passing gas to annoy others and insulting women's modesty.

The proposed laws, which are written into the Local Courts Bill set to be introduced to the incoming Parliament, include measures to ban "passing gas" with the intention to "mold responsible and disciple citizens," "insulting the modesty of a woman," "disturbing religious assemblies" and "trespassing on burial places," Afrik.com, Paris, reported.

Opposition leader John Tembo said the bill, which would also impose penalties on people posing as fortune tellers, would create a "kangaroo-like court" that would "not be ideal for a democracy."

Pittsburgh babies wrapped in Terrible Towels

They start 'em young up in Pittsburgh.

A hospital in Mt. Lebanon, Pa. is wrapping each newborn in a Terrible Towel as part of a celebration of the Steelers playing in Super Bowl XLV.

St. Clair Hospital started the tradition when the Steelers last made it to the Super Bowl in 2008 and decided to continue this year. "They're born Steelers fans here in Pittsburgh," said Sharon Johnson, a clinical supervisor at the hospital.

The Perfect Woman

The preacher said, "There's no such thing as a perfect woman. Anybody present who has ever known a perfect woman, stand up."

Nobody stood up.

"Those who have ever known a perfect man, stand up."

One elderly gentleman stood up.

"Are you honestly saying you knew an absolutely perfect man?" he asked, somewhat amazed.

"Well now, I didn't know him personally," replied the little old man, "but I have heard a great deal about him. He was my wife's first husband."
